Math
Harcourt Math provides focused instruction on key skills, plenty of practice for mastery and retention, comprehensive assessment, and targeted intervention. The students are engaged in whole group, small group, and hands on learning activities.

Kindergarten student's are expected to master the following Math skills for promotion to first grade.
1. Recognizes and selects the numerals (0 through 10) and number words to name the number of elements in a set.
2. Counts by rote, 0 through 10 forward and backward. Skip counts.
3. Counts the number of elements in a set and writes the corresponding numbers (0 through 10).
