The Media Center is the heart of our school. We love to read and we want our children to love reading too!

What to expect	regularly scheduled class time open time for research or checkout open checkout every day from 7:45-3:00
Rules for Borrowing	Kindergarten-1 book 1st Grade-1 book 2nd Grade - 2 book
Fines	Fines are not charged for overdue books. Replacement fees are charged for lost or damaged books.
Rules	Always walk in the Media Center. Always use a quiet voice in the Media Center. Listen to all directions given to you in the Media Center. Take very good care of the books. READ!

Philosophy of the Media Center

It is the philosophy of the Media Center to meet the curricular needs of the students and community of Berrien Primary School in this information society. This will be done through the use of print and non-print materials. We strive to provide our students with the tools necessary to develop their potential as critical thinkers, analytical problem solvers, and caring contributors to our society. The Media Center will work to develop life-long readers. This will be done with a variety of recreational reading materials and library/media promotions. To meet these goals, the Media Center selects a wide range of media on all levels of difficulty, with diversity of appeal and differing points of view.
