Have you ever made some type of food using a recipe, or have you ever seen someone following the directions on a recipe to cook or bake something?

If you have, then you have probably noticed that recipes are usually full of measurements written in the form of fractions.  Also, the measurements on measuring cups and spoons that you use when cooking are written in the form of fractions.

As you probably guessed, you would need to convert the decimals to fractions, and that is exactly what you will need to do in the following activity.

Tie up your apron strings and get ready to cook up some conversions!
