Step One: Students will click on this word document link to open up the biographical worksheet on Hamlet and the play. The computer operator will type the the critical data into the document after each student has used the website listed below to retrieve the critical data for each of their five questions. Websites to use: After all the students find all information, the computer operator will open the word document and type the critical data into the document. The computer operator will type the group names at the top and print off one five copies, one to turn in and one for each group member. Step Two: First click on the link below and pull up the word document on Shakespeare's characters. Click on the link titled characters and gather information on the main characters in Shakespeare's play. The computer operator or all members of your group will take turns and type the information into the document titled: Shakespeare's Characters. After completing the worksheet remember to include group names before turning it in (print copies for each group member). Now click here and take an Online Practice Quiz (as a group)! Step Three: Go to The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark and read the scene assigned to your group. After you have read the scene find no more than three words that you may not be familiar with and enter The Online Shakespearean Glossary to define them. You may use notebook paper for this. Step Four: Go back to the site titled The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark to identify your theme. Then write two paragraphs about the theme. Don't forget to include in your paragraphs what the theme is, the definition of the theme, the importance of the theme, and the location. Be sure to turn your papers in at the end of the period by placing them in the box for your class period located at the back of the room. Step Five: The reporter in each group will report the definitions found from the Online Glossary to the class and will also tell the class about any differences and similarities the group had about the theme.
